John Robert Harvey

Professional Information

• Dr. Harvey joined with Dr. Dwayne Schmidt to form the Heart Group of Oklahoma, which later evolved into Oklahoma Cardiovascular Associates (OCA). He has served on the board of the American Heart Association and on the board of the American College of Cardiology. His primary interest is in interventional cardiology and new technologies. From 1987 to 1991, he was an assistant professor of medicine and the Director of Interventional Cardiology at the University of Oklahoma. He has served on several philanthropic boards including the Executive Committee of Physician Hospitals of America, the Safety and Quality Committee of Mercy Health Systems, and on the board of Mercy Health Systems West. He also served on the board for the Oklahoma Heart Hospital Research Foundation.  
• Dr. Harvey is currently President and Medical Director of the Oklahoma Heart Hospital.
